Welcome to the 2024 InfoSoup Library Road Trip!
Buckle up for a journey through the heart of Northeast Wisconsin, where 49 libraries in 10 counties await your exploration. You will discover the unique buildings, services, events, and resources available in these communities.
How to Participate
- Your road trip begins by picking up a map booklet at any participating library. Use this booklet to plan your road trip to as many of our 49 InfoSoup library locations as you can visit. Maps can be stamped from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend.
- There are two ways that you can get your map stamped:
- Visit a participating library and do one of the following:
- Check out an item.
- Participate in a program or activity.
- Post a selfie from the library using the hashtag #LibraryRoadTrip on Facebook.
- Sign up to use a public computer.
- Can’t travel? Call an InfoSoup library and ask the librarian for a book or movie recommendation, or ask a question about the library or the community. You will get a secret code to add to your map. Please don’t share your code.
- Visit a participating library and do one of the following:
- Only one stamp or code per patron per library.
- For every 10 stamps or codes you collect, go to an InfoSoup member library and get an entry form for a chance to win prizes. You may enter up to 4 times.
- The prize drawing will occur on September 18, 2024. Winners will be notified using the contact information on their entry form.
Tips to Plan Your Road Trip
Dive into Unique Collections:
- Explore each library’s distinct collection; you might find hidden gems!
- Ask the librarians for recommendations – they’re the true road trip guides.
- Check out each library’s listing in your booklet for exciting library events and community happenings.
- Be part of special events or community gatherings – the real fun starts when you dive into local activities!
- Try the local delicacies near each library – fuel up for your next stop on the Road Trip!
- Ask locals for restaurant recommendations.
- Discover nearby parks for a picnic or leisurely stroll – a perfect break between library stops.
- Some libraries have beautiful outdoor spaces; don’t miss the chance to soak up the sun with a good book.
- Snap pics of your favorite library spots and share them using #LibraryRoadTrip.
- Don’t forget to check-in on Facebook – let your friends join the literary escapade!
- Use the library’s Wi-Fi to plan your next adventure or download directions.
- Take advantage of technology to enhance your road trip experience.
- Before hitting the road, confirm library hours by calling ahead or checking its website/Facebook page.
- No one likes a plot twist of arriving at a closed library – let’s keep the journey smooth!
