OverDrive and Libby PIN Issues
We have received various reports from users who are getting PIN error messages when trying to login to their OverDrive accounts using the OverDrive app or Libby. In some cases, the error says: "Invalid patron pin(no pin was entered for this request)." If you get this error message, you should see an option to "add another card." Select that, but rather than add a new card, jut put in your current Library Card and PIN and sign back in. In some cases, this will resolves the problem. In other cases, it seems like the PIN needs to be reset in InfoSoup. If your are using the OverDrive app, you might also want to try downloading the new Libby app for OverDrive. You will have to sign in once, but everything in your OverDrive account should also be available in the Libby app.
If you need to reset your PIN, you can contact your local library or reset your PIN online. If you are able to login to your InfoSoup account, on your account page under your name on the left hand side of the page there is a link to "Edit pin." Enter your current PIN and then re-enter the same PIN under new pin. If you get an error message when trying to log in to InfoSoup with your current PIN, use the "Forgot your PIN?" link on login page to reset your PIN. Just enter your card number and a reset link will be sent to the email address on file for your InfoSoup account.
If none of the online options work to regain access to OverDrive, please contact your local library. We don't exactly know what is causing the error, but we are working with OverDrive to better understand the problem. Thank your for your patience.
