What's Changing with InfoSoup on August 19?
On August 19, InfoSoup will launch a refreshed catalog and mobile app experience designed to make it easier to search, discover, and manage your library account.
As we prepare for the transition, we want to share what will be changing—and what will stay the same.
What Is Changing?
A Refreshed Catalog Experience
The InfoSoup catalog will have a new look and feel with updated tools for searching, browsing, and discovering library materials.
A New Mobile App
A new InfoSoup mobile app will be available. If you currently use the InfoSoup app, you will need to download the new version after launch.
New Features and Enhancements
The updated system includes new tools and improvements that will help create a more connected experience across the catalog, mobile app, and your library account.
Temporary Service Interruptions
As we transition to the new system, there will be a brief period when some services may be unavailable. We’ll share specific dates and details before the transition begins.
What Is Staying the Same?
While the catalog may look different, the services you rely on will continue to be available.
You will still be able to:
- Search for books, movies, audiobooks, and other materials
- Place holds
- Renew checked-out items
- Pay library fees
- Access digital resources like Libby, BadgerLink, and TumbleBooks
- Use your library card at any InfoSoup library
- Enjoy access to the same collections and library services
Will I Need a New Library Card?
No. Your current library card and barcode will continue to work.
Will My Holds Transfer?
Yes. Existing holds will move to the new system.
What About My Reading History and Lists?
Reading history and patron-created lists are expected to transfer to the new catalog. More information and recommendations for managing your account before launch will be shared in the coming weeks.
Why Is InfoSoup Making This Change?
This update will provide a more modern and flexible experience for library users and staff while supporting future improvements across the InfoSoup network.
Our goal is to make it easier to find, discover, and enjoy the materials and services your library offers.
We're Here to Help
We know that any change can take some getting used to. Library staff throughout the InfoSoup network are preparing for the transition and will be ready to help answer questions.
We’ll continue to share updates, tutorials, FAQs, and helpful tips before launch day.
Thank you for your patience and support as we prepare for this exciting new chapter for InfoSoup.
